THE APPLICATION PROCESS

Please note that all the specified documents must be included with an application for it to be processed.

APPLICATION FORM

You will find a tear out application form in the prospectus which must be completed fully. Please complete a separate form for each course you are applying for clearly stating the course title. Eg. Holistic Massage with Anatomy and Physiology Option 1 OR Reflexology with Anatomy and Physiology Option 2. You may photocopy the Application Form as required.

PERSONAL REFERENCE FORM
This document is also provided in the prospectus and must accompany all Diploma Course Applications. A Reference is NOT required for Post graduate or Introductory courses. The applicant must complete the top section and then pass it onto an appropriate Referee for full completion. Your Referee must have known you for a year or more; must be someone out with your immediate family and be familiar with your personal abilities and interests. Only one Reference form is required per student, even if several courses are being applied for. The completed Reference Form must accompany your application and full contact details of the Referee must be provided so that the Principal may communicate directly with any Referee as required.

PAYMENT CONTRACT

A document is also provided in the prospectus for your completion and return along with the Application Form and Personal Reference Form. This must be read thoroughly and signed as a binding agreement between you and The Edinburgh Therapy Academy.

DEPOSIT REQUIREMENT
Diploma Course deposit is £85 non refundable.
All Introductory or Post Graduate courses deposit is £25 non refundable.
In the unlikely event of a course being postponed or cancelled, full deposit refund will be available.
Payment by cheque/postal order payable to The Edinburgh Therapy Academy must be included with the application.

ACCREDITATION FOR PRIOR LEARNING (APL)

Any student applying for APL in light of existing qualifications must follow the APL guide lines noted and include written evidence from ITEC verifying APL granted.
In the case of late applications, any missing documents must be discussed with the Principal prior to attending the first day of training.

OUR RESPONSE TO APPLICATIONS
If all application documents are in place and successfully processed the applicant can expect to receive an acceptance slip, receipt for payment to date and the appropriate course texts by post within two weeks of applying. Late applicants may receive these items on the first training day if there is insufficient time to process the application fully prior to commencement of the course.
One month, before the course is due to start, all confirmation details will be sent to students specifying the arrangements for training.
