This course offers students tuition on therapeutic, Swedish and holistic massage techniques offering a comprehensive and effective introduction to massage therapy.
The course is suitable for students
• Who wish to progress as professional practitioners working full or part time
in the therapy industries.
• Who are already in the health care field and wish to continue professional development or diversify their skill base. • Who are looking for a career change and wish to invest in helping other individuals. • Who wish to provide their friends and family a safe and competent massage.

What is Aromatherapy?

This course offers full clinical and Holistic Aromatherapy, incorporating full dispensing skills.
Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils distilled from plants to promote a well balanced and healthy lifestyle. Massage, bathing, vaporisation and inhalation are the usual methods of use.
Essential oils are used by Aromatherapists generally in massage. Essential oils are blended with a carrier oil to create a mixture which can be used directly on the body. The blend will depend of the clients needs and condition. Often their use is also recommended for bathing and burning in a water solution over a candle to clean and purify the air and to effect improvements in a persons breathing and general well being. If essential oils are used in skin and body care, carrier oils can also be moisturising, nourishing and protecting.

The ITEC Diploma Course

The Diploma provides an in depth understanding of the use of essential oils to aid healing in the body and mind of an individual. This knowledge allows the therapist to treat pathology safely and effectively but also allows a home care package second to none with the ability to dispense. The course also offers a greater range of massage techniques building upon those gained in the Holistic Massage.
