What distinguishes The Edinburgh Therapy Academy? (ETA)
|
• The ETA is committed to delivering courses
of study that are clearly defined, effective, efficient,
and consistent in the opportunities they offer.
|
• The ETA provides a personal experience for
students, by recognising each student’s individuality,
and encouraging their creativity within clear boundaries
and educational structure.
|
• The ETA is committed to offering coeducational
experiences. i.e.: mixed male and female groups.
|
• Our team is committed to collaborative decision-making,
where possible and appropriate.
|
• For many students, their experience at the
ETA is life changing.
|
• The ETA is less formal than some establishments.
For example, students can by arrangement communicate
flexibly with staff, and the culture within the school
is strongly one of trust and respect in terms of behaviour
and attitude.
|
• Students are fully furnished with all course
requirements at the onset of training and there is
a minimum of box ticking paper work.
|
| • Student groups are small for practical training
(up to 16) OR have double staffing for practical; enabling
greater acknowledgement of individual needs, within
a clear and equal framework. |
• As a team, we are empathic and facilitative
in style, and we want students to feel supported and
able to communicate openly about their experience with
us. We have an holistic and empowered way of working,
based on mutual personal responsibility.
|
• All of our tutors are practitioners of multiple
therapies and engage actively in continuing professional
development.
|
• All of our courses are fine-tuned and endeavour
to meet student needs within the course perameters.
|
• Facilities for the delivery of training are
chosen to meet the essential student and subject requirements.
|
• We deliver powerful results on the practical
side of training - i.e. helping students find their ‘therapy
hands’ - and this is underpinned by sound knowledge
and understanding of the therapy form.
|
• The design of our courses is thorough, and
we are passionately committed to our therapies and
to the development of students in our field.

provided to offer a flavour of the ethos and principles
of The Edinburgh Therapy Academy. There is an opportunity
to discuss any matters arising from the charter on
day one of the course. |
